SodaClock Terms of Use
Effective Date: August 12, 2026
Last Updated: August 12, 2026
Welcome to SodaClock (the “App”). These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and the App’s Developer, CE ZHAO. They supplement the rules governing the App’s features, Pro access, purchases, support, and related services. Please read these Terms before downloading, installing, accessing, or using the App or completing a purchase. By doing so, you agree to the provisions of these Terms that apply to your activity.
If you do not agree, do not continue to access or use the App or complete a purchase. The license to use the App itself remains governed by the Apple Standard EULA. Minors may use the App. When making a subscription or other paid purchase, a minor must comply with applicable law in the minor’s place of residence and obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian where required.
1. Product and Developer Information
- Product: SodaClock
- Developer: CE ZHAO
- Contact email: oyzgzc@gmail.com
SodaClock is a clock and timer utility for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Some features are available free of charge, while others require Pro access.
2. Apple Software License and Rules of Use
The license for the App obtained through the App Store is governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Standard EULA). These Terms do not replace that agreement or grant a conflicting software license. They only supplement the product, membership, purchase, support, and related service rules for SodaClock.
Without limiting the Apple Standard EULA, and except where applicable law expressly permits otherwise, you must not:
- copy, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially distribute the App;
- reverse engineer the App, circumvent technical protections, or interfere with purchase or entitlement verification;
- use the App to infringe another person’s intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights; or
- use the App unlawfully or fraudulently, disrupt services, or harm the rights of other users or the Developer.
3. Free Features and Pro Access
The App includes free features and features that require Pro access. The features, rules for free access and trials, and Pro benefits currently available are shown in the installed version of the App and on its purchase screens.
The Developer may reasonably adjust features, interfaces, compatibility, and how plans are presented, provided that legally acquired rights are not impaired. A statement on a purchase screen that future updates are included, or an equivalent promise, means that while the relevant Pro entitlement remains valid, users may receive future Pro features and clock updates added within the scope of the current SodaClock App without an additional charge. This promise does not include separately released apps, wholly separate products, third-party paid services, platforms not yet supported by SodaClock, or indefinite technical support. Except as expressly stated on a purchase screen, in the foregoing promise, or by applicable law, other descriptions of current features do not guarantee that every future feature or service will be included or that maintenance will continue indefinitely.
4. Purchase Options
SodaClock offers the following purchase options through the Apple App Store.
4.1 Monthly Subscription
The monthly plan is an auto-renewable subscription billed for one-month periods. The actual price and currency are those shown by StoreKit at the time of purchase.
4.2 Annual Subscription and Free Trial
The annual plan is an auto-renewable subscription billed for one-year periods. A one-week free trial may be offered to users who meet Apple’s eligibility requirements. The trial applies only when it is expressly shown on the purchase screen for that user. Apple and StoreKit determine eligibility based on the user’s account and purchase history, so not every user will qualify. The trial period, price, and eligibility information shown by StoreKit before purchase govern.
Unless canceled before the trial ends, the annual subscription converts to a paid subscription at the annual price shown on the purchase screen and renews automatically each year.
4.3 Lifetime Pro
Lifetime Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase and does not renew automatically. While the purchase remains valid, it provides the Pro benefits offered to Lifetime Pro users in the current version.
“Lifetime” means that the non-consumable purchase itself has no fixed expiration date. While the purchase remains valid, it includes the future-update promise within the scope of the current App described in Section 3; it does not automatically include separate apps or products, third-party paid services, platforms not yet supported by SodaClock, or indefinite technical support. The Developer will not revoke a valid, lawfully acquired purchase without cause.
Lifetime Pro currently does not support Family Sharing.
5. Prices and Payment
Product prices, currencies, taxes, and offers are those displayed by Apple StoreKit before purchase confirmation. The App does not substitute a hard-coded amount for the current App Store price.
After you confirm a purchase, Apple charges your Apple Account through Apple’s transaction process. The Developer does not receive your full payment-card number or Apple Account password.
6. Automatic Renewal, Cancellation, and Management
The monthly and annual plans are auto-renewable subscriptions. Unless you cancel through Apple before the end of the current subscription or trial period, the subscription will renew automatically and Apple will charge the applicable price under its then-current rules.
You can view, manage, or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
Apple may change renewal timing, billing windows, or management procedures. Apple’s then-current terms and the information it displays govern those processes.
7. Restoring Purchases
You can ask StoreKit to recheck eligible purchases through the App’s Restore Purchases option. Its location depends on the version of the App you have installed.
Restoring a purchase is not a refund or a new purchase. It cannot restore an entitlement that has expired, been refunded or revoked, or belongs to another Apple Account. The result depends on the valid transactions and entitlement status returned by Apple.
8. Family Sharing
Availability of Family Sharing depends on the App Store Connect configuration of the particular product, Apple’s rules, the user’s region and family-group status, and the information returned by StoreKit.
The App displays a Family Sharing statement only when StoreKit indicates that the relevant product supports it. Lifetime Pro currently does not support Family Sharing. Whether another product supports Family Sharing is determined by the information shown by SodaClock and the App Store at the time of purchase.
9. Use on Multiple Devices
Where Apple permits, while the purchase remains valid and the corresponding Apple Account is used, Pro access may be verified or restored through StoreKit on supported iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices. A qualifying monthly or annual subscription may also provide access to family members using their own Apple Accounts through Family Sharing, subject to the status returned by Apple and StoreKit.
Except for benefits expressly provided through Apple Family Sharing, this does not allow a purchase to be transferred to another ecosystem, developer account, Apple Account, or platform not supported by SodaClock.
10. Refunds
Apple handles App Store purchases, subscription charges, refund requests, and refund decisions under its applicable policies and local law. You may request a refund through Apple’s available channels. The Developer cannot guarantee that a refund will be approved, and these Terms do not exclude any statutory rights you have under applicable law.
If Apple revokes a transaction, approves a refund, or otherwise determines that a purchase is no longer valid, the related Pro access may end.
11. System and Network Dependencies
Clocks and the App’s primary local features are designed to operate on the device. Purchases, restoration of purchases, subscription-status updates, online legal pages, and some Apple services may require a network connection, an available Apple Account, and functioning Apple services.
Some features may be temporarily unavailable because of the device, operating system, network, Apple services, regional restrictions, or circumstances beyond the Developer’s reasonable control. The Developer will take reasonable steps to maintain the App but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or compatibility with every future device or operating-system version.
12. User Content and Local Data
Users may enter personal messages, event names, and similar content that is stored locally. You are responsible for ensuring that the content you enter is lawful.
The App currently does not provide its own cloud backup or account synchronization. You are responsible for managing your device, system backups, and local data as appropriate. Deleting the App, clearing data, device failure, or restoring the system may result in loss of local content.
13. Intellectual Property
The Developer owns the relevant rights in, or has obtained lawful authorization for, the App’s source code, brand, logo, App icon, clock designs, interface, images, audio, copy, and other content. Third-party fonts and other open-source content remain subject to their respective licenses.
Without permission, users must not copy, sell, redistribute, impersonate, or otherwise use App content beyond normal personal use in a way that infringes applicable rights.
14. Privacy
The handling of information is described in the SodaClock Privacy Policy.
15. Use and Purchases by Minors
SodaClock is a general-audience utility and may be used by minors. It does not provide content specifically for children or ask users for their age.
A minor who makes a subscription or other paid purchase must comply with applicable law in the minor’s place of residence and obtain consent from a parent or legal guardian where required. Apple features such as family purchase approval, parental controls, and Ask to Buy may also apply.
16. Changes to These Terms
The Developer may update these Terms in response to changes in features, legal requirements, or Apple platform rules and will show the revised Last Updated date on the public page. If a change materially affects users’ rights or obligations, the Developer will provide reasonable notice as required by applicable law and supported by the product.
An update to these Terms will not retroactively deprive a user of rights already lawfully acquired.
17. Limits of Responsibility
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided in its currently available form. The Developer does not assume responsibility beyond what the law requires for indirect loss arising from a user’s device, network, third-party service, Apple service, user error, or an event beyond the Developer’s reasonable control.
These Terms do not exclude or limit any consumer rights, statutory warranties, or liabilities that applicable law does not permit to be excluded or limited.
18. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and your use of SodaClock are subject to applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits or affects any mandatory consumer rights available to you under the laws of your place of residence.
If a dispute arises, you and the Developer should first attempt to resolve it amicably. If no resolution can be reached, either party may seek relief before a court or other competent authority with lawful jurisdiction.
Where SodaClock is made available in different countries or regions, any mandatory consumer protection, privacy, or other applicable legal requirements that cannot lawfully be excluded will continue to apply.
19. Apple-Related Terms
SodaClock is distributed through Apple platforms. The Apple Standard EULA governs the App’s software license, and Apple’s other applicable terms govern the App Store, purchases, subscriptions, and related platform services. These Terms only supplement SodaClock’s product, membership, purchase, support, and contact rules. They do not replace the Apple Standard EULA or reduce rights available under Apple’s terms or applicable law.
